These five DVDs offer scenes from popular movies that powerfully illustrate character issues such as respect, honesty, loyalty, courage, and responsibility. Each DVD includes up to 12 clips from films such as Shrek, Back to the Future, Seabiscuit, Wizard of Oz, and Lord of the Rings along with a comprehensive study guide, written by educators. Guide provides movie plot summaries, standards-based lesson plans arranged around a theme, discussion questions, and activity suggestions for both primary and upper elementary students. Each clip can be viewed with either Spanish or English sub-titles and, in some cases, Spanish audio. Use these DVDs to engage students in reflection and stimulating discussions about character and moral action. No clips are rated higher than PG-13.
