Foster Care Information Series: Set of 4 Booklets

Booklets 1, 2 and 3 are addressed to foster parents and discuss these issues:

  • How to assure the safety of foster children taking prescription, psychotropic, or over-the-counter medications.
  • How to create a successful match between their family and a potential foster child, reducing the likelihood of placement disruptions.
  • How foster parents can best work with the court, child welfare, juvenile justice, and mental health systems to increase the chances of a child's success in their home.

Booklet 4 offers detailed advice on how administrators can determine whether or not children are safe in their foster homes and how to detect instances of abuse.
