Brad is a typical middle school kid who just wants to fit in. He doesn't want to stand out for looking or acting different. At his school, looking different means wearing a mask as they are no longer required. Most kids never wear a mask and certainly not Brad's buddies, but Brad has asthma, and he is more comfortable wearing a mask.
