Description

Students will practice gathering information and persevering on the task of writing a survival guide. This activity will allow students to understand that many famous people displayed grit when they continued to try very hard even after experiencing failure. A flipped classroom idea is also included in this activity from the GRIT & Bear It! Activity Guide.

This exercise is recommended for grades 5-10.

Materials needed:

    • Articles/Links about famous people who failed many times before finally succeeding
    • Poster paper
    • Colored pencils
    • Access to the Internet
