Description
Teach the skill of working as a team with this unique activity called “Spaghetti and Marshmallows.” This amusing exercise will keep students engaged through all three rounds by creating their own structures. Discussion questions are offered at the end of the activity for the class to answer. From Julia Cook’s BEST ME I Can Be! series is a fun activity to accompany her storybook Teamwork Isn’t My Thing, and I Don’t Like to Share!
This exercise is recommended for grades 2-5.
Materials needed:
- ½ bag of mini-marshmallows per team
- ½ package of dry spaghetti per team
- 3” x 5” note cards cut in half
