Use these engaging downloadable activities to reinforce the lessons taught in the storybook, Catch the Ball!
The activities are best suited for children ages 5-11.
The Five Downloadable Activities include:
- Activity 1 – How Might they Be Feeling? – Students will read four scenarios and brainstorm feelings and emotions the characters may be feeling. Activity Handout with prompts provided.
- Activity 2 – Which Emotion is That? – Students will connect different emotions to their definitions and/or synonyms. Worksheet and Answer Key provided.
- Activity 3 – The Feelings Web – Students will come up with strategies or actions they can take when an emotion becomes overwhelming to them. Worksheet provided.
- Activity 4 – What’s Going On Charades – Students will play charades to try and correctly identify different emotions and their causes. Charade Cards provided.
- Activity 5 – We’ve Got This! – Students will write out problems and challenges and include solutions and action plans. Activity Handout provided.
The storybook Catch the Ball! is recommended for these activities.
