Our Approach

We also recognize that every child is an individual with unique needs. That’s why, over many decades, we have developed a distinctive, research-based approach to achieving our vision which has proven successful for tens of thousands of children and families. 

At Boys Town Press, we partner with in-house and outside experts to develop high quality, innovative books, videos, activities, and lessons for educators, counselors, youth care professionals, children, and families. These resources align with, support, and reinforce the Boys Town Model® and Boys Town Education Model®.

National Parenting Center Seal of Approval

The National Parenting Center's Seal of Approval program is an independent testing procedure conducted to judge a variety of products introduced and marketed to the parent/child consumer market.


This seal has been awarded to many Boys Town Press resources such as titles from the Common Sense Parenting® series, Who's Raising Your Child?, the Interactive Book About Me! series, Good Night, Sweet Dreams, I Love You, and If Winning Isn’t Everything, Why Do I Hate to Lose?

 

Teachers' Choice Award

The Teachers’ Choice Awards honor products of exceptional quality and outstanding performance in the classroom and at home! Their panel of teacher evaluators use each product in their classrooms and homes to find the best products for teachers and parents.

This award has been presented to the Boys Town Press titles Getting Along with Others and Uniquely Wired storybook and activities.

 Gold Mom's Choice Award

The Mom’s Choice Awards® evaluates products and services created for children, families and educators. The program is globally recognized for establishing the benchmark of excellence in family-friendly media, products and services. 


The Gold Mom's Choice Awards has been presented to the Urban Character Education book series, I Just Don't Like the Sound of NO!, The WORST Day of My Life Ever!, SORRY, I Forgot to Ask!, the Interactive Book About ME! book series, and Great Days Ahead: Parenting Children Who Have ADHD with Hope and Confidence.

The Mom’s Choice Awards® evaluates products and services created for children, families and educators. The program is globally recognized for establishing the benchmark of excellence in family-friendly media, products and services.


The Silver Mom's Choice Award has been presented to The Garden in My Mind, Cliques Just Don't Make Cents, Peer Pressure Gauge, Tease Monster, Making Friends Is an Art!, and Show Me Your Mad Face.


Boys Town Recognition

Seal of Transparency Boys Town was recently recognized for our transparency with a Gold Seal on our GuideStar Nonprofit Profile. GuideStar is the world’s largest source of information on nonprofit organizations. More than 8 million visitors per year and a network of 200+ partners use GuideStar data to grow support for nonprofits. Four Star Charity Charity​ Navigator, one of the nation's largest and most-respected charity rating ​systems, has ​awarded Boys Town one of its highest ratings for the seventh consecutive time for the sound management of its finances. Analysts at Charity Navigator examined thousands of nonprofits to develop an unbiased, objective, data-based rating system to assess the financial health of a charity. These ratings include two broad areas of a charity's financial health - how responsibly it functions day-to-day and how well positioned it is to sustain its programs in the future. Accredited Charity The Better Business​ Bureau has awarded Boys Town with its coveted Wise Giving Alliance Accredited Charity Seal.
