Description
The concept of teaching compassion to children has gained momentum over the past few years. In fact, studies have found that teaching children compassion, empathy, and kindness not only improves school climate but also may even boost grades. By teaching children to be compassionate to others, we foster an environment that is inclusive, respectful, and uplifting for everyone. Drive home the message from the picture book Parker Plum and the Intergalactic Space Detective, written by former school counselor Billie Pavicic. The activities developed include worksheets and discussion questions for students in grades K through 6.
